WHEATON – Several downtown Wheaton restaurants will participate in "Dine Out for Aidan's Army" Thursday to help raise money for the research and treatment of childhood cancers.

The event is organized by Boost4, the fundraising arm of Boost Marketing. Participating restaurants will donate 10 percent of their sales, excluding alcohol, to Aidan's Army to help Boost4 achieve its goal of raising $20,000 to fight childhood cancer.

Participating downtown Wheaton restaurants include The Bank, Muldoon’s, Shane’s Deli, Egg’lectic Café, Adelle’s, Pad Thai, Ivy and Sushi Mono.

Ron and Kathleen Manning founded Aidan's Army in 2010 in remembrance of their son Aidan, who lost his battle to a malignant brain tumor in 2009.
