HINSDALE – Two burglaries in which forced entry was made occurred last month in the 300 block of West 59th Street, according to Hinsdale police reports released this week.

The first occurred between 7 p.m. April 3 and 9:15 a.m. April 30. The victim found the garage door forced open with a prying tool and property from her center compartment was scattered on the seat, police said.

There were no signs of forced entry to the car and nothing was reported missing, according to police reports.

The next incident occurred when someone allegedly forced entry into a maintenance room between 5 p.m. April 30 and 9:15 a.m. May 1 in the same area.

A maintenance worker found pry marks on the door and the door jamb molding was broken, police said. Shelving and spare trim were found in disarray on the floor and a half pack of cigarettes was the only item reported missing.
