Hinsdale police seek suspect in alleged child battery

HINSDALE – An 8-year-old girl reported to her parents that an unknown man hit her in the head and leg while she was in a fenced back yard between 7 and 8 p.m. April 27 in the 800 block of Justina Street, according to police reports.

The girl was unharmed and lacked any physical signs of being struck in the head or leg. The man is alleged to have jumped a fence and run from the area on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set white male, about 30 years old, standing taller than 6-foot-4-inches and wearing a white T-shirt, black leather vest and light-colored blue jeans with rips in the front. He also has brown eyes and is bald, with a mustache and goatee.

The man has tattoos on his left and right arms, as well as his neck, according to police reports. He has a lip ring, his left ear pierced and was wearing a white bandana on his forehead.
