NAPERVILLE - With an opportunity to hand Naperville Central its first loss of the spring and stay in the DuPage Valley Conference race, Glenbard North's softball team instead couldn't get anything going in a 6-0 loss Wednesday.

The home team used a hit by pitch and passed ball to score a run in the opening frame and added three more runs in the third before plating single runs in the fourth and fifth.

Glenbard North's best chance to score came in the third when the Panthers put two runners on base but a lineout to second base ended the inning.

The squad fell to 17-4 overall and 8-3 in the DVC. Naperville Central clinched a share of the league title.
