IC Catholic

Class: 2A

Regional seed: No. 2

Regional: Aurora Central Catholic

Regional opener: 4:30 p.m. Wednesday vs. Westmont

What to watch: The Knights are heading into the postseason with momentum after a recent winning streak put them well above .500 for the first time this season.

IC has been getting major contributions from Anjella Farmer, Maria Kieliszewski and Gabby Curran offensively. Jessica Conenna and freshman Catherine Klosterman have been two-way stars.

They will open against Westmont, the No. 3 seed in the Aurora Central Catholic regional. If IC gets past the Sentinels, top-seeded Lisle likely awaits in the regional final. The Lions have won four straight sectional titles and are primed to make a run at a fifth. On the flip side, IC is looking for its first regional title since 2003.
