HINSDALE – Cara Tenerelli won a title in the 100-meter hurdles and was third in the triple jump for two of Hinsdale Central’s top performances at the West Suburban Silver conference meet May 3 at Lyons Township.
As a team, the Red Devils tallied 58.75 points and finished fifth. Lyons (134.75) edged Glenbard West (122.75) for the team title.
Tenerelli clocked a time of 15.47 seconds in the 100 hurdles, overcoming her No. 2 seed for the title. In a tight three-way battle for top honors in triple jump, she finished third (34 feet, 6 inches), just over 3 inches behind the winner.
Jill Hardies ran to third in the 1,600 with a time of 5:12.46. Teammate Anna Zaher was fifth (5:16.29). Haleigh Monyek, Morgan Serwat, Katie Sluman and Jennie Thomson placed third in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 51.98.
