Annual Petals for Pets fundraiser set for Saturday and Sunday in Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE – The West Suburban Humane Society is selling spring garden plants and flowers as fundraiser just in time for Mother’s Day.

The seventh annual “Petals for Pets” is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The greenery sale benefits animals at the West Suburban Humane Society.

WSHS is a volunteer-based, no-kill cat and dog welfare organization founded in1972 as a lost and found referral service.

The shelter now operates at full capacity with animal care and adoptions provided to the public six days a week. For more information, call 630-960-9600 or visit: www.wshs-dg.org
