ELMHURST – Conrad Fischer Elementary School recently received nearly $400 worth of books from Elmhurst College students.

Members of Elmhurst College's Kappa Delta Pi chapter donated the books following their Scholastic Book sale earlier in the year. The group is an international honors society for education, and chose to use the $400 profit they earned at the sale to supply books for Fischer students.

Fischer Principal Jane Bailey and librarian Donna Dewar selected the books on behalf of the school. KDP President Elizabeth Kawa, Vice President Elizabeth Majerczyk and members Amanda Montes, Nicole Markech and Hannah Jaconetti visited Fischer students after making the donation.
