BOLINGBROOK – The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce's 2013 Golf Extravaganza scheduled for June 19 will benefit One Fund Boston, Inc.

In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino announced the formation of One Fund Boston, Inc. to help the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred April 15.

The 18-hole golf outting begins at 12:30 p.m. June 19 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club and will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. cocktail reception.

The scramble style golf outing is designed to entertain clients and close business deals, according to Bolingbrook Chamber staff.

During the event, the chamber is also hosting a networking spa day for residents whose golf game is not up to par.

Residents who are unable to attend the event but would still like to make a monetary donation to One Fund Boston, Inc. can do so by mailing or dropping off a check to the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce – 201-B Canterbury Lane Bolingbrook, IL 60440 – and all funds will be sent to the cause on behalf of the businesses, residents, and community leaders in Bolingbrook.

All donations need to be received on or before June 18.

To register, call the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce at 630-226-8420, or visit www.bolingbrookchamber.org.
