ADDISON – A 32-year-old Addison man has been charged with six felony counts of possession of child pornography in a DuPage County investigation this month.

Julian L. McElyea, of the 100 block of School Street, was arrested on Friday. Detectives from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office's unit in the Sexual Predator Electronic Exploitation Division had conducted an investigation into the downloading and distribution of child pornography on the Internet.

On Wednesday, a search warrant was issued and executed at McElyea's home, where numerous electronics showed multiple pornographic images and movie files depicting subjects under 18 years old, according to a news release.

McElyea was taken into custody at his residence and is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
