Adventist Paulson Pediatric Rehab hosts speech, hearing screening May 15

HINSDALE – Adventist Paulson Pediatric Rehabilitation Center will host a free speech and hearing screening and ear examination for children May 15.

Paulson Pediatric is running the screening in honor of Better Hearing and Speech Month, which takes place in May. The screenings and examinations are available from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at 12 Salt Creek Lane, Suite 106.

The screenings, which take between 10 and 15 minutes each, can help to detect hearing loss. It is available for children ranging in age from 1 to 16 years old.

The hearing screening will involve a child responding to noises played in each ear. The speech screening involves children repeating back a list of words.
