Chimera's celebrates Free Comic Book Day

LA GRANGE – Chimera's Comics will celebrate the annual Free Comic Book Day with a number of activities May 4.

The store, at 19 S. La Grange Road, will open at 10 a.m., an hour early, and the first 150 customers will be entered in a raffle for a copy of Alan Moore's "Watchmen" in Absolute Edition.

In addition to receiving a free comic book, guests can get free sketches from 12-3 p.m. from Matt Waite, an artist for Valiant Comics and Marvel Comics. Kids can get their faces painted and take home balloon animals.

All of the store's back issues will be half-priced, and all graphic novels will be buy two, get one free.
