DUI enforcement efforts net 3 arrests in Riverside
RIVERSIDE – Officers from the Riverside Police Department arrested three individuals for impaired driving recently as part of the agency's DUI enforcement efforts. The arrests were made between 1 and 5:30 a.m. April 28, police said.
Josephine Pagan, 47, of Chicago was observed weaving across the center lane into oncoming traffic and traveling slower than 20 mph at 1 a.m. along Harlem Avenue, police said. She failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI and released after posting bond, police said.
William Fritts, a 33-year-old Oak Park resident, also was charged with DUI after failing field sobriety tests, police said. He was observed speeding and straddling the line markers on Harlem Avenue, police said. Fritts admitted that he drank wine and took medication before getting behind the wheel of his car, police said.
