RIVERSIDE – Officers from the Riverside Police Department arrested three individuals for impaired driving recently as part of the agency's DUI enforcement efforts. The arrests were made between 1 and 5:30 a.m. April 28, police said.

Josephine Pagan, 47, of Chicago was observed weaving across the center lane into oncoming traffic and traveling slower than 20 mph at 1 a.m. along Harlem Avenue, police said. She failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI and released after posting bond, police said.

William Fritts, a 33-year-old Oak Park resident, also was charged with DUI after failing field sobriety tests, police said. He was observed speeding and straddling the line markers on Harlem Avenue, police said. Fritts admitted that he drank wine and took medication before getting behind the wheel of his car, police said.

Janett Pardo, 21, of Romeoville was charged with DUI when she failed field sobriety tests at about 5 a.m. near Burlington Street and Harlem Avenue, police said. An officer came across some debris on the roadway in this area and observed a vehicle driving southbound on Harlem Avenue with paint matching the debris, police said.

Pardo admitted she had been involved in a car crash near Roosevelt Road and Harlem Avenue in Oak Park, police said. Oak Park police said that Pardo had struck two trees, an electrical box, a stop sign and a garbage can before leaving the scene, police said.

Pardo's breath-alcohol content showed a level of .11, police said. Officers processed her for DUI and turned her over to the Oak Park Police Department to face charges of leaving the scene of an accident, police said.
