CICERO – A woman was forcibly robbed of her purse behind a Cicero business on April 27.

Police responded to a robbery behind American Educational, Inc., 2126 S. Cicero Ave., where the victim said she had been approached by a male Hispanic in his 40s or 50s, 5'6" to 5'8" in height, and between 130 and 140 lbs., who identified himself as "Simon" and drank a beer with the victim.

The victim said "Simon" then got "frisky" with her and as she attempted to walk away he grabbed her purse from her and ran.

Taken was a brown and gold Coach purse with $22 and miscellaneous identification cards.

The victim signed a refusal to prosecute because she felt sorry for the offender.
