Registration starts Saturday for Sea Lions Swim Team in Clarendon Hills

CLARENDON HILLS – The Clarendon Hills Park District will host a registration session for the Clarendon Hills Park District's Sea Lions Swim Team between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday at the Community Center, 315 Chicago Ave.

A representative from Urban Tri-Gear will be on hand for uniform and swimsuit fittings.

Open to children and teens ages 5 and up, the Sea Lions Swim Team offers both stroke technique education and competitive aquatics opportunities throughout the summer.

The Sea Lions practice at the Clarendon Hills Park District's Lions Park Pool, 100 Byrd Court, and compete throughout the summer as part of the West Suburban Conference.

To qualify for the team, a young athlete must be able to complete one lap of the pool using the freestyle stroke without assistance and one lap of the pool using the backstroke without assistance. There is a $185 resident fee to participate in the program.
