Lemont charity hitting streets for annual fundraiser

LEMONT – The Hope and Friendship Foundation of Lemont has scheduled the 2013 Hope and Friendship Tag Days, its only fundraising effort of the year, for Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18.

Volunteers will work in two-hour shifts at three Lemont locations: at State and 127th streets (ages 18 and older); Jewel, 1202 State St. (all ages); and Chipain's Fresh Market, 1100 State St. (all ages).

Hope and Friendship is a conduit of surplus meals, household appliances, furniture or belongings from households that can give to people that are in need of these items. For more information, visit hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com.
