Published: Tuesday, April 30, 2013 10:04 a.m. CDT

DOWNERS GROVE – The Alexander Bradley Burns American Legion Auxiliary Unit 80 will host a Cinco de Mayo celebration and fundraiser from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the post, 4000 Saratoga Ave.

The post is accepting donations of $10 per adult, and $5 for children. Children younger than 5 are free.

The event includes a taco dinner, taco salad or hot dogs, and a raffle from 3 to 4 p.m.

For children, there will be face painting, games, a visit from Ronald McDonald and more.

Proceeds will go to “Sew Much Comfort,” which provides custom-made adaptive clothing free of charge to injured service members.

Adaptive clothing accommodates their medical devices and situations, provides ease of use, increases personal independence and minimizes the visual impact of their medical condition.
