“RB is consistently recognized by colleges as a top school for recruiting outstanding students,” said Kevin Skinkis, superintendent of School District 208. “This ranking from U.S. News & World Report will help us to continue to place our students in the colleges of their choice, as well as retain and attract the best educators.”
U.S. News worked with Washington D.C.-based American Institutes for Research to compile the listing of best high schools. The organization analyzed 21,035 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia.
A three-step process was used to determine the best high schools, including using performance on proficiency tests as a benchmark and the degree to which the schools prepared students for college-level work.
