RBTV students win 5 national awards
RIVERSIDE – Riverside Brookfield High School proudly announced recently that students in the RBTV club won five national awards for their school for work they did for the RB television station.
The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) notified RBTV that four students won first place national recognition through the Hometown USA Media Awards. ACM is a nonprofit organization that promotes civic engagement through community media. Students from all over the country submitted entries into the contest.
Winners from Riverside Brookfield High School included senior Marie Morgenthaler, who won in the Instructional/Training category for “Take Over My Make Over.” Morgenthaler also won in the Informational Talk Show category for “Focal Point.” The talk show is hosted by Morgenthaler and RB Superintendent Dr. Kevin Skinkis as a guest.
Senior David Moore won in the Government Profile category for “Riverside Police.”
Senior Tom Szydlo won in the Educational Activities category for “Let’s Go Clubbin’.”
Stasha Morales won in the Entertainment and Arts category for RBTV’s A-List Series/Season four composite.
