MAYWOOD — Willowbrook baseball only got one game of its series against Proviso East in, but the Warriors made it count.

Willowbrook won 20-0 in five innings and Kevin Johnson hurled a perfect game with 13 strikeouts. A pair of flyouts in the second inning were the only balls in play the Pirates could muster.

The win improved the Warriors to 4-6 in the West Suburban Gold.

Mike Rothmund was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Steve Ferguson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Jeremy Kucik had a triple and three RBIs. Chris Villafuerte added a pair of hits.

Jake Cady, Brian Johnson, Gabe Gage, R.L. Aldridge and Tucker Newling each had two RBIs in the offensive outburst.

Eight different Warriors were credited with hits and 14 different players crossed home plate with at least one run scored.

After facing Lyons Township on Friday, the Warriors will face Proviso West in a three-game crossover series. Willowbrook hosts a Saturday doubleheader before heading to Hillside for the finale on Monday.
