Elmhurst YMCA hosts Healthy Kids Day

ELMHURST – The Elmhurst YMCA, 211 W. 1st St., celebrates Healthy Kids Day on Friday.

The YMCA, 211 W. 1st St., invites parents and children to join in activities that promote active living and learning between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Families can take advantage of Sh'Bam dance classes, dodgeball and healthy crepe samples. Sportacus Chica from PBS' LazyTown and Sprout shows will arrive at 7 p.m.

Healthy Kids Day is a national event that takes place at 1,900 YMCA locations. It's designed to encourage children to stay active physically and mentally during their summer break from school.

The Elmhurst YMCA offers a variety of summer camps and programs and will be offering summer savings during Friday's event.
