Riverside's Scaman helps OU gymnastics finish second at nationals

RB grad competes on three events at NCAA Championships

Riverside Brookfield graduate Haley Scaman and the Oklahoma Sooners women's gymnastics team finished the season as national runners up.

The Sooners scored 197.375 points to take second at the NCAA Championships at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on Saturday. Florida won the title with 197.575 points. Alabama was third with 197.35.

Scaman, a freshman from Riverside, began the postseason by winning a Big 12 title on floor exercise and shared a regional title on the same event. Oklahoma won the Big 12 team title and also won an NCAA Regional the following week.

At nationals Scaman competed on vault (9.825), bars (9.85) and floor (9.9).
