Adventist Midwest Health names Mary Murphy nursing regional VP

HINSDALE— Mary Murphy has been named regional vice president for nursing with Adventist Midwest Health.

Murphy is currently vice president and chief nursing officer at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, a position she has held since 2008. Prior to that, Murphy worked as vice president and chief nursing officer at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, where she had also worked as director of emergency services.

Murphy has a master’s degree in nursing from Loyola University and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the same university.

In 2006, she served as the regional president of the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders and has held memberships with the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the National Flight Nurses Association.
