Montini's English and drama teacher celebrates 10th anniversary at school

LOMBARD — Dr. Diann Matheson, an English teacher at Montini Catholic High School and director of the school's theatre productions, is celebrating her 10th anniversary of working at the school.

Matheson joined the faculty in 2003 as an English teacher, but had been working to produce the school plays for two years before then. She's still the director today.

She teaches freshman and sophomore English classes and serves as head of the Drama Department. She supervises the school's acting classes and has directed 24 theatre productions for the school.

During the summer, Matheson runs a theatre camp for fifth- to 12th-graders.

Matheson has a bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands in California, a master's degree from the University of Kansas, a master of arts in teaching degree from National Louis University and a PhD from Bowling Green State University.
