Cronin signs emergency declaration for DuPage County

A resident of the 200 block of Monument Avenue reported that V-8 juice was thrown on their house June 19.


Jeffrey Vance, 43, of the 800 block of W. Northwest Highway, Barrington, was arrested at 710 W. Northwest Highway June 10 on a charge of disorderly conduct and trespassing,

Alcohol to a minor

Matthew Sowder, 22, of the 100 block of Wynstone Drive in North Barrington, was arrested on a charge of unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor June 13 and 100 East Station Street.

Underage drinking

Erika Benling, 18, 333 W. Station St., Barrington, was charged with underage consumption of alcohol June 14 and Hough and Franklin streets.

Suspended license

Lynda Smalec, 44, of Shade Tree Court, Algonquin, was arrested June 16 for driving on a suspended driver's license and failure to reduce speed after being involved in an accident at 227 W. Northwest Highway.

No license

Alfonso Vazquez-Palacios, 42, of the 2000 block of Quail Lane, Northbrook, was arrested June 18 on a charge of driving without a license and speeding at Main Street and Valley Road.

Police had a motorcycle towed June 19 when the driver was unable to provide a proper license.

Property damage

A resident of the 600 block of New Bridge Court reported window damage June 20.

A resident of the 400 block of Washington Street reported their house was egged June 20.

A vehicle was scratched while parked in a driveway in the 500 block of North Avenue June 21.

Bikes found

Two bicycles found June 17 at Citizen's Park, 511 Lake Zurich Road, were put into evidence for safekeeping.

Lost wallet

A resident of the 400 block of North Hough Street reported a lost wallet June 18.
