Volunteers needed to build children's garden at Iowa Community Center

VILLA PARK — The implementation of Phase 2 of the Villa Park Skate Park project is underway and volunteers are needed to help build the new children's garden that will be located next to the skatepark at the Iowa Community Center, 338 N. Iowa Ave.

Volunteers will be needed to help move bricks and materials to lay the brick pavers. Crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

More volunteers will be needed to help install flower beds and landscaping from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 23.

Phase 2 of the skate park project will include the installation of a children's garden, new playground equipment, bocce ball courts and more.
