LEMONT – The Lemont High School Poms dance team was recognized at the April 15 Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education meeting for its fourth-place finish in the open dance category at the 2013 TEAMDance Illinois Class AA state finals.

“They are an extremely dedicated, hardworking bunch of girls,” said Poms Coach Stephanie Campanile.

The team had three first-place finishes throughout the season.

Board Vice President Pamela Driscoll, who was a member of the first LHS competition dance team in the 1970s, addressed the students, speaking fondly of her time as a Pom.

“I think it's an example of a good group of Lemont High School students working together and achieving success,” Driscoll said in an interview with the Lemont Reporter/Met.
