McClure teachers take shift at Westchester McDonald's

McClure Junior High teachers take a shift at a McDonald's in Westchester to raise funds.

WESTCHESTER – McClure Junior High held its annual McTeacher's Night at the newly remodeled Westchester McDonald's, 11110 31st St., on April 10.

Teachers took over the restaurant, serving up meals to students and families to raise money for the school. Teachers worked the drive-thru counter, served as greeters, cleaned the lobby, cleared tables and operated the ice cream machine. There were also teachers singing for tips and handing out stickers.

The teachers working included Beth Tortorello, Claire Bianchi, Karen Moutvic, Callie Pogge, Elizabeth Hussey, Lynn Rees, Clare Buysse, Katie Hoffman, Kathleen Gannon, Michael Stock, Courtney Douglas, Anne Smith, Ray Bauer, Ferdinand de Gula, Kevin Cuff, Rachel Corrough, Amy Pratt and Principal Dan Chick. The event was arranged by Amy Antkiewicz.

McClure raised $1700 through the event.

McTeacher's Night and an appearance by Ronald McDonald was courtesy of the Westchester McDonald's owner/operator Dennis Stabile. The location's Grand Re-Opening events are planned for May 19-June 1.
