Lombard's April blood drive collects 181 pints of blood

LOMBARD — The Village of Lombard recently hosted it second community blood drive of 2013 and collected 181 pints of blood with 16 deferrals.

The blood drive took place Wednesday at Yorktown Center and Village Hall, and local businesses Culver's Restaurant and Buona of Lombard offered special coupons to all blood donors. Students from St. John's School also helped distribute flyers for the drive.

The next community blood drive is scheduled for July 10 and will be held in partnership with Heartland Blood Centers.
