Letter: Requiem for cellphones
To the Editor: Kudos to state Rep. Deborah Conroy, D-Elmhurst, for her tenacity of voting against using a cellphone and/or texting while driving. Unfortunately, some of her constituents favor such habits and voted differently. Statistics prove that distractions violate common sense and warrant an authorized signature – via the coroner.
Cellphones are a technical marvel and should be used as intended – reasons of need. Users need to recognize this, be vigilant and responsible with such modern marvels – not careless!
