Willowbrook increases local water rate by 25 percent effective May 1
WILLOWBROOK – Water rates in Willowbrook are on the rise.
During fiscal 2014 budget discussions, the Willowbrook Village Board was presented a five-year projection on the fiscal health of the village's water fund. Village Administrator Tim Halik reported that since 2010, the DuPage Water Commission has raised the rate it charges the city for water four times. During that same period of time, the village has raised its local water rate twice.
The Commission now plans to further raise rates in 2014 and 2015 for an additional total increase of 35 percent.
