HINSDALE – Bringing home a baby can have an overwhelming effect on the entire household, including the four-legged family members. In an attempt to help parents, babies and pets, the Hinsdale Humane Society will host a free class titled "Dog and Baby Connections" from 7 to 8:45 p.m. April 29 at the Hinsdale Public Library.

This class will focus on preparing a pet for the arrival of a new baby as well as training a pet to become comfortable with new activity in the house, noise levels and more.

HHS humane educator and licensed Family Paws presenter Kym Iffert will go over different issues related to the milestones babies reach and how to best prepare your pet.

Topics covered will include reading a dog's body language, calming signals, danger signs, bonding activities, guilt and more.

To register, email pr@hinsdalehumanesociety.org or call 630-323-5630.
