Hinsdale Central soccer responds after first loss
Hinsdale South shut out in first two Pepsi Showdown contests.
HINSDALE — Talk about bouncing back.
After Hinsdale Central’s girls soccer team lost its first game of the year in a 1-0 home loss to Plainfield North April 4, it responded with an 8-0 rout of host Proviso West Tuesday afternoon.
“We suffered our first loss and it did not sit well with anyone,” Central coach Michael Smith said. “But it was a good reality check that there are still things we need to fine tune. It was a 1-0 loss and it’s not like the season is over, but it was a reality check that we need to stay consistent and keep working.”
