ADDISON — A 28-year-old Addison man is being held on $300,000 bond after being charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography.

Christopher Korszlak, who was renting a room at 261 N. Brashares Drive, appeared in bond court Tuesday morning, police said.

As part of an ongoing investigation into the possession and dissemination of child pornography, authorities with the Wheaton Police Department located a computer in DuPage County that allegedly contained child pornography. Through the course of the investigation, detectives were led to Korszlak, where it was discovered that he allegedly possessed thousands of videos and photographs containing child pornography.

On Monday, Korszlak was taken into custody without incident by the Wheaton Police Department.

Korszlak will next appear in court May 6. Additional conditions for Korszlak should he post bond include no contact with children under 18 years old and no computer or Internet access.

If found guilty of all counts, he faces at least 72 years in prison.
