Organization to host presentation on self-advocacy for students with disabilities

LA GRANGE PARK – Learning disability specialist Jennifer Zvi will host a presentation Tuesday about developing self-advocacy skills in students with disabilities.

Zvi received her doctorate’s degree in learning disabilities from Northwestern University and currently teaches early childhood education classes at Lewis University. Her presentation will include a discussion about the attributes necessary for student success and the importance of students’ understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses.

The event is hosted by RAiSE, Resource Association in Special Education, which supports students with special needs and disabilities in La Grange School District 102.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the LRC at Park Jr. High, 333 N. Park Road. All parents, teachers and community members are invited to attend.
