Letter: Morley has residents' best interests in mind

Published: Friday, April 5, 2013 3:38 p.m. CST

To the Editor: I choose Steve Morley as candidate for the office of mayor of Elmhurst.

Steve graduated from Iowa University and is the president of Elmhurst-based Marketing Resources, Inc. He is a proven leader in his personal life as a husband, father, Scout den leader, softball coach and charity volunteer. For the past six years, Steve served as alderman of the 6th Ward and currently as chairman of the Development Planning & Zoning Committee.

Steve grew up in Elmhurst and chose to raise his family here. Besides his family, there is nothing more important to him than making sure this community provides a safe and secure atmosphere where children, families and businesses can grow and prosper.

Steve's priorities are fiscal responsibility, solving long-term flooding issues, defending the Elmhurst taxpayers, keeping our neighborhoods safe, promoting well-planned development and maintaining and delivering superior services.

I have personally known Steve since he was in kindergarten. His strength of character is clearly evident. Steve is honest, reliable and willing to work the long hours needed for the position mayor of Elmhurst. If you want to see honest people in government, join me in supporting Steve Morley.
