The Village of Lemont beat the Village of Lombard in an online voting competition Monday morning during "The Eric & Kathy Show" on 101.9FM for the duo's "Suburban Madness Battle of the Burbs" bracket contest.

Lemont will advance to the final round against Aurora starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The winning town will not receive a formal prize, but will have bragging rights on The MIX morning radio show. Members of the show will also visit the winning suburb.

"Suburban Madness" is an annual March tradition for the show, and competition began last week. On Thursday, Lombard won in a match-up against Brookfield and on Friday came out on top over Glendale Heights, while Lemont beat Naperville and then Long Grove.
