SOUTH BEND, Ind. – In their second-to-last preseason match of the year before heading into the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season, the Chicago Red Stars topped host Notre Dame 4-1 April 3.
Notre Dame alum Lauren Fowlkes scored twice for the Red Stars, both in the first half and both scored just two minutes apart.
Ella Masar scored in the 57th minute and Mandy Landish tallied in the 79th minute to finish Chicago's scoring.
The Red Stars have one preseason match remaining at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 7, against Illinois State. The game will take place at the Red Stars' training grounds in Oak Brook (700 Oak Brook Road) and is open only to Red Stars season ticket holders. Players will be available after the match for autographs and photos. Season Tickets are $160, $200 or $495 and can be purchased by visiting chicagoredstars.com.
The Red Stars open the NWSL season one week later at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 14, against Seattle Reign FC at the Benedictine University Sports Complex.
