Pleasant Lane PTA to host family sport night

LOMBARD — The Pleasant Lane Elementary School PTA is hosting a sports night on April 12 for local residents and families.

The event will include games that let people test their athletic skills, such as the quarterback toss, baseball and softball pitch, shoot-the-puck, soccer goal, basketball shot and golf putt.

Attending the event will be Southpaw, mascot for the Chicago White Sox; Ozzie, mascot of the Kane County Cougars; Rusty, mascot of the Chicago Steel and the Glenbard East cheerleaders.

Visitors also can purchase raffle tickets to win Chicago Cubs, White Sox and Kane County County Cougar tickets, sports memorabilia, gift certificates and more.

The event will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. April 12 in the gym at Pleasant Lane School, 401 N. Main St. Admission is free, but tickets must be purchased for games, raffles and refreshments.
