Catch 'Lincoln' for free at the Cicero library this weekend

CICERO — Who doesn't like seeing a free movie?

The Cicero Public Library Film Society will present the Oscar-winning film, "Lincoln," at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Meeting Room, 5225 West Cermak Road.

The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln and follows him over the last four years of his life as he tries to get Congress to pass the 13th Admendment to the Constitution. The film also stars Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln and Tommy Lee Jones as Thadeus Stevens.

Day-Lewis won an Oscar of his portrayal of Lincoln and the film was also nominated for a Best Picture Oscar.
