One injured in West Chicago shooting; no public safety threat at this time
WEST CHICAGO — A man was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening following a reported shooting in West Chicago.
West Chicago police officers responded to the shooting at about 9:25 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Barber Street.
According to police officials, the victim appears to have been targeted, and they do not believe any additional threat to public safety exists at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation. Additional information will be provided by police as it becomes available.
