District 200 offers counseling in wake of high school student's death
WHEATON — Community Unit School District 200 will offer counseling services to students following the death of Wheaton Warrenville South junior Kaelan Mondragon at his home last week.
A member of the high school's varsity men's volleyball team, Mondragon, 16, of Wheaton, died March 28, according to information available on the Williams Family Funeral Homes website. The obituary reads he was "taken from his family too soon."
The district sent a message to Wheaton Warrenville South parents, saying the Counseling Center has been made available to help students with this tragedy. Two counselors are also visiting each of the classes in which Mondragon was enrolled.
