South baseball bats heat up early
GLEN ELLYN — More than three hours into its trip to Louisville March 24, the Glenbard South baseball team found out the games the Raiders were scheduled to play in Kentucky had been canceled due to the weather.
“We made it to Lafayette (Indiana) and were sitting in traffic due to a jackknifed truck,” said Glenbard South coach Mike Riley. “I looked down at my phone and I had text messages saying to turn around and go back, that they had thunderstorms.
“The players were bummed. We were all bummed.”
