LOMBARD — On Saturday, members of the Kiwanis Club of Lombard will participate in a day of community service and outreach, as will other Kiwanis clubs around the world.

Members of the club will be stationed at Mr. Z's Bakery, the Lombard Pharmacy and the Walgreens store, 309 W. St. Charles Road, where they will distribute 600 bags of "Kiwanis Kisses" as a way of thanking community members for their support of Kiwanis. There will be a thank-you note in each bag, along with a list of the organization's annual service projects.

"It is our way of saying 'thank you' to all of the great folks in our community who support their activities throughout the year," said Dee Thompson, president of the Kiwanis Club of Lombard.
