Former Elmhurst resident accused of hacking computers, stealing 'intimate' photos
ELMHURST — A former Elmhurst resident has been arrested in connection with a local Internet crimes investigation dating back to June 2012.
Elmhurst police announced on Monday that Sgt. Andrew J. Curran, 28, of Green Bay, Wisc., was arrested in March on two felony counts of identity theft and five counts of unlawful possession of child pornography in Brown County, Wisc.
In August 2012, investigators from the Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety in Wisconsin and the Elmhurst Police Department, along with the Naval Criminal Investigative Services, began to investigate Curran. The Marine recruiter worked in the Ashwaubenon Armed Forces Recruiting office.
