LA GRANGE — Students and staff at Lyons Township High School got the opportunity to play Easter Bunny recently, providing more than 100 Easter baskets to needy children in Chicago.

LT’s Peaceable Schools Initiative Club gathered items donated by students and staff — including buckets, toys, books, art supplies and more — to create the baskets.

Baskets were picked up by kids in the Off the Street Club program, based in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. Off the Street Club provides a safe place for kids to do homework, play video games, perform plays and express themselves through arts and crafts.

Additionally, 10 baskets were dropped off to kids at the Constance Morris House in La Grange.
