Adult Wiffleball League registration now available at park district

LA GRANGE — Want to feel like a kid again? Registration is now open for the Adult Wiffleball League through the Park District of La Grange.

Wiffleball is played like baseball, but on a smaller field and with a plastic ball with holes in it and a bright yellow bat.

The park district is bringing back this schoolyard sport for adults in April. Teams will play at Countryside Park, located at 61st Street and Meadow Drive in Countryside, on Sundays from April 21 through June 2.

The cost of the league will be $150 per team. Teams can register by filling out a registration form at the Park District of La Grange Recreation Building, 536 East Ave. in La Grange. Teams can also register online with a valid online account at The deadline for registration is April 10 and the league will be capped at 16 teams.

Teams will play eight games over the course of the season — broken up by four weeks of double-headers between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. This will be followed by a single elimination playoff.
