JSA's Midwest Spring State Convention takes place next weekend

OAK BROOK — The Junior State of America, the largest student-run organization in the country, will host its annual Midwest Spring State Convention at the Doubletree Oakbrook-Chicago April 6 and 7.

High school members will focus on civic education, civility and fair and open political dialogue. The theme of this year’s convention will be "The Future of Freedom – Rights, Revolution and Renewal."

Throughout the weekend, JSA members will participate in debates and discussions on issues that our democracy faces now and in the future.

The keynote speaker is U.S. Rep. Bill Foster, 11th Dist.
