Why should residents vote for you? In a word, leadership. I believe I am the only candidate that brings real leadership to the position. In 2008, Mayor Murphy called me a “leader of leaders” when he asked me to lead the 50th/40th Anniversary Committee ... As a financial advisor, the most important skill I have is being able to listen to my clients. To understand what they want and put together a plan to accomplish their goals.
What are the biggest issues facing Woodridge? Maintaining the services we provide our residents and businesses while revenue we receive from the state continues to shrink. We have several capital projects that will need to be undertaken in the next few years. We have a sewer system that is approaching the point that it will need to be replaced.
If elected, how will you distinguish yourself as the new face of Woodridge? My job is to work everyday on making Woodridge the best place it can be for the benefit of our residents and business owners. I want the focus to be on Woodridge, not me. One of the things I’ve admired about Mayor Murphy is that his serving as mayor was never about him. You don’t see his name on the side of village vehicles or at every entrance to the village. He was never the focus, Woodridge was.
