1) What is the most important issue in this election?

Our residents demand well maintained roads, stormwater improvements and safe walking routes within our village. Maintaining a balanced budget while addressing infrastructure requests is an ongoing challenge. To balance these needs we must continue to expand our efforts to create an environment where viable and healthy businesses thrive. This not only increases revenues but enhances the services available to our residents making Downers Grove a more desirable place to live. Working collaboratively with other taxing bodies to deliver like services frees up existing monies which can be used to enhance village services.

2) Why should voters choose you?

My voting record proves that I have the experience and independence to represent the residents of Downers Grove. I do my home work, listen and make decisions based on the best interest of the community as a whole. I helped establish the Economic Development Commission and served on committees dealing with traffic, transportation, affordable housing and residential redevelopment. I presently serve as mayor pro tem and sit on the Finance and Administrative Committee. I am active in our community serving as an advisory board member for Helping Girls Navigate Adolescence. As a council member I learn from these experiences to better serve our community.
